Hopefully that chance will be this weekend, along with a lot of the other talented youth players we have hidden in the U23 team.

Should Anthony Gordon start the game against Brighton and Hove Albion?Yes, he deserves the minutesNo, he's not quite ready yet |
During his career with the Goodison Park club, Gordon has featured on only a handful of occasions, with the last coming as a substitute appearance in the defeat against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup (per Transfermarkt).
His debut for the Toffees was all the way back in 2017 when he was introduced in place of Kevin Mirallas as a late substitute against Apollon Limassol (as per Liverpool Echo), and supporters still believed that more is yet to come.
Keep at it, Anthony. Sooner or later, you’ll be in that first team. You’d show more effort and desire than most of them.

What do we think?
As many supporters have suggested, it seems only a matter of time for Gordon when considering that the English 18-year-old has been training with the first team for a number of months (per Liverpool Echo).
If there is one thing that the blue half of Merseyside could desperately do with after the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool (per BBC), it is a pick-me-up, which a start for the attacker could duly deliver.
