Aston Villa fans have been pleading with the club to splash the cash for Krzysztof Piatek this month.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page that included an article from the Birmingham Mail. Indeed, the report states that AC Milan are “holding out” for a bid of £25.5 million for the striker, with the Birmingham Mail stating that the original source is Italian newspaper il Giornale.
Would Krzysztof Piatek be a good replacement for Wesley?
Yes
No
This post was captioned with a question asking their followers if Piatek is worth that much.
The post then led to a number of Villa fans replying with their thoughts on a potential move for the Polish international.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans wanting their club to pay the money for Piatek:

The player has goals in his locker and a goal every other game is worth the 25mil asking price. With the dip in his form seems to be a resault of ibrahimavich joining his team then he needs a move. Bring him in @AVFCOfficial we need him at our club

The striker, who is currently valued at £28.8 million, according to TransferMarkt, has scored four goals in 18 appearances so far this season, though he did manage to score a whopping 30 goals last season.
If his goals keep us in the league then he’s worth every penny. Always a gamble buying unproven players with no premier league experience in January.

Dosh well spent if it gets done,, I got a feeling this guy would be right for Villa

One supporter even referenced Darren Bent, who joined Aston Villa back in 2011 and went on to score 25 goals in 72 appearances for the Villans.
Get it done. This is our Darren Bent moment!

What do we think?
With Villa’s first-choice striker Wesley out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, they will need to replace him this month. But despite not being in and amongst the goals for Milan this year, a big price tag and no Premier League experience, the fact that so many Villa fans have their hearts set on Piatek shows how impressive he is in their eyes.
