Aston Villa fans have been gushing on Twitter over their rumoured target in the January transfer window.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying information originally shared by Nicolo Schira that the club are “looking” at bringing Krzysztof Piatek to Villa Park this month.

The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £28.8 million according to TransferMarkt, has only managed to score four goals in 18 appearances for current club AC Milan this season (per TransferMarkt). With the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club, maybe a move away for Piatek could be possible. Now with the latest rumour linking the Polish international to Villa, some fans have been getting very excited.

What do we think?
With first-choice striker Wesley out injured for the rest of the season, Villa will be looking to replace him. If Piatek does make the move to Villa, he will need to find his form if he wants to help Villa survive in their returning season in the Premier League. Dean Smith’s side are currently sat in 17th place in the Premier League table just above the relegation zone. If they are to survive, they will need a goal-scorer to save them.
