Aston Villa fans have been gushing on Twitter over recent footage from Villa’s weekend match against Brighton and Hove Albion.
This comes after the official Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page that included the footage of Jack Grealish’s stunning equalising goal in the second half of the 1-1 draw.
Which part of Villa's goal at Brighton was better?
Luiz's pass
Grealish's finish
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were keen to share their delight with the move from their club.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the footage:
Can confirm it actually gets better the more you watch it.

Jack hits the ball a few seconds before everyone thinks he’s going to. And that’s what catches everyone out.

The clip starts with Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz on the ball on the left-hand side of the pitch in Brighton’s half. Seconds later, the Brazilian pulls off a perfect long-range sweeping pass to Grealish standing between the Brighton defensive line. When the ball arrives at Grealish, the Englishman’s first touch sets himself up in front of the Brighton goal before pulling off a stunningly sweet strike past Brighton goalkeeper Matt Ryan to make it 1-1.
This goal then led to Dean Smith’s side snatching a point away from home after being 1-0 down in the first half (per BBC Sport). After the match, this post got a lot of Villa fans talking.
The first touch. No one is talking about the first touch. Sublime.

What do we think?
Villa’s goal was fantastic, but what will be more important to Dean Smith and the Villa fans is that it gained their team a point away from home. With Villa currently sat in 18th place in the Premier League table, any points they can get now could be crucial by the end of the season.
