Aston Villa fans have been discussing a potential Villa Park exit for Jonathan Kodjia on Twitter after his omission from the Villa squad in midweek.
This comes after Villa journalist Dan Bardell shared a post on his official page reacting to Kodjia not being in Villa’s squad for their 1-1 draw against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.
Bardell claimed it was “curtains for Kodjia” after this omission insinuating his Villa career is over, though, it has been claimed that he missed the game through illness.
Would Kodjia be a big miss for Villa if he left?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a handful of replies from Villa fans who were all eager to share their thoughts on the matter.

Good riddance. Lazy.

When your manager prefers to play with no striker rather than pick you, its time to pack your bags.

If he’s not injured then there’s really no coming back from that. Picking out of position and youth ahead is a very damning statement from Smith

The striker is currently Villa’s only recognised striker with first choice Wesley out for the rest of the season and Keinan Davis yet to make his return from injury.
However, with Kodjia not making Dean Smith’s squad for their first-leg semi-final clash with Leicester on Wednesday, some Villa fans think Kodjia’s days at Villa are numbered.
Hasn’t put in a performance yet to say he wants to be a starter. Done a lot for us in the championship but his attitude has changed.

Smith must really not rate him if he’s more willing to play with no recognised striker!

Could have been a hero, was an absolute hero in his first season

What do we think?
It seemed strange that Smith would opt to play against Leicester with no recognised striker if Kodjia was fully fit and available.
However, the fact that most Villa fans assumed he was not in the squad because he is on his way out of the club goes to show just how the fans feel about Kodjia right now. None were seeing his potential exit as a big miss.
