Aston Villa booked their place in the final of this season’s Carabao Cup after beating Leicester City in dramatic fashion on Tuesday night.
The Villans took the lead through Matt Target but the foxes responded in the second half when Kelechi Iheanacho levelled the score on 72 minutes. The tie was seemingly heading for a penalty shootout when Trezeguet popped up at the far post deep into injury time to finish Ahmed Elmohamady’s pin-point delivery.
The decisive goal sparked wild celebrations in the stadium and following his post on social media, the supporters have heaped praise on Elmohamady for his incredible assist.

Elmohamady’s delivery into the Leicester City penalty area was as good as anything you will see in a long time. The pace and the accuracy made it almost impossible to defend and lucky for the Egyptian, his compatriot Trezeguet was on hand to finish it off and send Villa through.
