These West Bromwich Albion fans have been discussing Grady Diangana’s potential replacement should he be recalled by West Ham in January.
Diangana is currently on-loan from Premier League side West Ham, leaving these fans wondering if Kyle Edwards would be able to take his place if the 21-year-old is recalled. Edwards has played 18 games in the Championship this season, however, only two of them came from the starting-XI. The Englishman is also 21 years old, but with him scoring only twice this season, he is yet to hit the heights that Diangana has.
Here’s what the West Brom fans had to say about the potential replacement:
Kyle Edwards has produced some encouraging performances of late, but do you think he would be ready to come into the side as Grady Diangana’s replacement if West Ham recall him in January?#WBA pic.twitter.com/BMXVfCTQ6x

He injured and not available till end of jan so West Ham may leave to recover at West Bromwich but Edwards a great replacement

Yes but we would need another wide player for rotation and competition if Grady was recalled.
We’ve seen spells of what Kyle can do but he hasnt had the game time recently to show consistency. Against Wigan it showed that he needs more than the last 10 minutes of games to progess— JonW1995 (@JonW1995) December 18, 2019
Better as an impact sub at present

He’s slightly different and will have more poor games , but it will improve him also . He won’t get better without games so tough decisions

Who do you want West Brom to use?
Kyle Edwards
Grady Diangana
Diangana has played 19 games in the Championship this season, however, his goal tally has been a lot more impressive, with the 21-year-old scoring and assisting five times from the wings.
No! GD is a few years ahead in development already

We’ll find out in next couple of weeks, he’s likely to play a lot over Christmas. That may sway any decision in January.

What Do We Think?
Grady Diangana has been such an important player for West Brom so far this season; however, Kyle Edwards has only been started six times in the league, so it may be a little unfair comparing the two players.
If using Edwards will potentially save West Brom millions of pounds in January transfer fees, this seems the likely route the club will go down. That’s only if West Ham recalls Diangana of course.
