Sunderland Football Club feels like a desolate place at the moment. While warm bodies still walk the ground on game days, and players still pull on the kit, the atmosphere surrounding the club has died. The club’s recent results are unacceptably poor and there seems to be no hope for a turnaround anytime soon (WhoScored.com).
When Roker Report published an article discussing the situation, they suggested that the club is headed in a negative direction. The article questioned some of the decisions made by the club’s owner, Stewart Donald. They feel that his actions have contributed to the downward trajectory of the club.
Fans could do little but agree with the claims made. They feel that the owner is disinterested and doesn’t care about the club the same way they do.
His silence is testament to where this club is heading and I for one is very worried the fact no one wants to engage with the supporters anymore tells me this is a lot worse than it actually looks if that’s possible

Donald and Methven are the problem , said it when they took over and still believe they are clueless, out of their depth and in it for themselves !

Nailed it Gav. The comms were a sugar hit that masked the fact that football decision making was poor from day one. As time goes on it’s the quality of decisions that defines performance – not goodwill. Simply put, Donald has shown himself incapable of providing that quality

That sounds right, until the club is run by someone who cares and wants to be the best we will continue to drift

Who would you rather see leave Sunderland right now?
Parkinson
Donald
Other fans accuse Donald of making false promises. They think he was being dishonest from the get-go.
It was a bit of a magic show. Look over here, look over here, we don’t want you to see what we are really doing over there kind of job.

He conned the fans. Simple as that

What do we think?
The overall state of the club is a serious concern for fans right now. They demand change. If the club continues down the path it is currently on, there may be no coming back.
