Now, more than ever, Sunderland fans will dearly hold onto memories from the past. It is tough to watch the Black Cats play right now, but nostalgia is what keeps most Sunderland fans coming back. And nothing reminds football fans of the past better than a good ole’ retro jersey.
When Marty Longstaff tweeted out that he was shopping for football shirts in London, he shared the extortionate prices listed. For a retro Sunderland shirt, fans were asked to pay £80. Sunderland fans responded to the tweet in disbelief of the prices. They expected a few other things to be thrown in for that price.
Hahaha – disgusting mate!

Me and my girlfriend were in there last week when we were down to watch Liam Gallagher. Love the concept but their prices are absolutely bonkers.

I’d want the Disco Pants thrown in too for that price.

Would you pay £80 for a retro Sunderland top?
Yes
No chance
One fan questions how much his signed and framed jerseys would cost, while another is worried that the club will respond with raised jersey prices in the club shop.
I have a few signed !! And framed!!

What do we think?
Everyone loves a nice retro jersey. But £80 is a hefty price. Fans would find more luck digging through their closet. They may be surprised to find a few high priced items just laying around.
