Good news is hard to come by if you are a Sunderland Football Club supporter right now. The team seems incapable of winning games and there are no improvements to be seen in the performances either. Luckily for supporters, this week did bring some good news.
With the fans growing increasingly more frustrated with owner Stewart Donald, they were thrilled to hear that Tom Sloanes and David Jones were joining the club’s board of directors. This news was well-received by fans of the Black Cats. They are happy to see that like-minded individuals would be having a say at the club’s management level.
Congratulations Tom what an amazing achievement, it was fantastic to meet you at the weekend.

We neeed people who have the long term success of the club in mind, with the strategy to make that happen, and the contacts to make it a realistic prospect.

One fan suggested that Sloanes needed to sort out the club by challenging the owner. He would like to see Phil Parkinson replaced by Neil Warnock as well.

What do we think?
It is yet to be determined how much of an influence the pair will have at the board level. One thing is for certain, though. Fans are just happy to see that someone in power will be acting on behalf of the fans. For now, that’s all they can ask for.
