This week the Rangers Academy beat Brentford B 4-0. It was a nice boost for the club who have seen the first team go through a difficult week. Hopefully the result inspires a lifted performance from the first-team in the UEFA Europa League this week.
One of the game’s goal-scorers was Greg Stewart. The winger scored the team’s second goal in the 34th minute from the penalty spot. Fans questioned why Stewart was even playing for the youth squad though, insisting that he should be making regular appearances with the first-team. They thought he could have come on against Aberdeen and Celtic.
That Stewart guy seems decent, we should put him in the first team…

Should’ve played on Sunday

Why did he not get brought on at Aberdeen and at Hampden it makes no sense?

Should Rangers start Greg Stewart more often?
Yes
No
Others suggest he could even take the first-team penalties, or at least teach his teammates how to score them.
Announce Stewart new penalty taker

Oh look, someone who knows how to score a penalty!

He can show Tav and Alfie how to do it in training then!

What do we think?
Gerrard will obviously have his reasons for resting the winger. But these fans are growing impatient and want to see him playing regularly for his team. Perhaps we will see him featured against Young Boys? With the Light Blues on the verge of securing their place in the next stage of the Europa League, maybe it would be a good idea to include Stewart.
