While Rangers fans will be thrilled to see their team walk away from Parkhead with three points, the game ended on a slightly negative note for the Gers. Alfredo Morelos received two late bookings in the 85th and 96th minute, resulting in a red card. The first card came after Morelos fouled Scott Brown while the second was given for simulation in the box.
When the referee showed Morelos the second yellow, Rangers fans were up in arms. They couldn’t believe that the referee came to the conclusion that he did. They admitted that Morelos went down easily, but they didn’t think he deserved the first yellow card anyway. In their eyes, the referee was looking for an excuse to send him off.
Well, if the club continue to let us play against all odds with no response, we had better get used to it.
His first yellow was never a yellow of there would be nobody left on the field.Get it sorted for goodness sake.

The referee’s have seen how far morelos has come and how good hes been and targeted him. 2 reds in 2 weeks for celebrating a goal and being clumsy! How they red cards? Next he will get a red for scoring a goal let’s see eh

Do you think Morelos' first yellow card was fair?
Yes
No
Other fans pointed out that the referee let the game continue for much longer than it should have. The whistle should have been blown before Morelos was even shown the second yellow card.
Game should’ve finished over a minute before Clancy booked Morelos for 2 fouls, his only two commited. No matter still beat Cheat FC with the ref doing everything to help them.

Again Morelos refereed to a different level, Bolingoli should’ve gone for foul on Morelos on a yellow….. 2 extra minutes on top of the injury time too, nae luck Clancy

Should never have been a red card if the ref had stopped the game after time added on. Red given on 96th minute. Rangers should appeal. Having said that @morelos2106 looking for a penalty.

What do we think?
While the win against Celtic is a monumental one for Rangers, the victory will be slightly tainted because of Morelos’ impending suspension. It is clear to fans that Morelos was facing ‘special’ treatment from the officials.
