Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent were once again on the scoreline for Rangers Football Club as the team beat Hearts 5-0. An own goal from Christophe Berra brought the score to 3-0, until Greg Stewart was subbed on in the 74th minute.
Stewart made a massive impact, scoring two goals during his run out with the team. While the win was already secured, the goals were crucial. Despite being level on points with Celtic, Rangers are still behind on goal difference. Stewart’s goals brought the Gers within one goal of being joint even with their rivals.
Fans were shocked with Stewart’s incredible cameo.
What a cameo from Greg Stewart. Rangers just showing the strength in depth we have right now. Don’t want to stay stale though. Am sure Gerrard is always looking to improve

Well impressed with Greg Stewart. Strolls on and scores two goals Sunday, then turns up for outdoor training in sub zero conditions in shorts.

No
Other fans expressed their delight in other ways.
I know I’ve only seen him in a Rangers jersey for 45 minutes but Greg Stewart might win the Balloon d’Or this season

What do we think?
While his performance was impressive, Stewart will need to show his ability on a consistent basis before being given a starting position for the long haul. Two important goals in an incredibly tight title race is a great start though.
He has only started five out of his 14 appearances this season, which suggests he has an awful lot still do to if he is to work his way into Gerrard’s plans from here on in.
