Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations over the latest injury issue with Dejan Lovren.
This comes after Liverpool journalist James Pearce shared a post on his official page revealing how Lovren claimed to have a hamstring problem after their 2-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday.
Pearce’s post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were not pleased with the latest injury to Lovren.
Should Dejan Lovren have been rested in midweek?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans worried by Pearce’s latest post:
Worrying to be down to two fit centre backs but a massive opportunity for Gomez

Picking him after he had to go off the other day was madness

The Croatian picked up the hamstring injury in the second half of the 2-0 win. Lovren was also substituted in the first half of their 3-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend with cramp.
Some Liverpool fans were bemused with Klopp that he chose to start Lovren in their midweek game despite not being fully fit, and it doesn’t look to have paid off.
Chasing 4 trophies with 2 first team CB’s fit and our back up (Fabinho) also injured. Either Hoever steps up up we have to sign someone in January!

Who thought it would be a good idea playing him after coming off injured in his previous game. Rubbish call.

Gutted we are down to 2fit cb, Lovren performance has been immense, just hope Gomez can step up and put in nice shift too.

This will be huge for LFC as teams will come at us knowing fully well lack of cover at the back if any one of the CB gets injured

This lad has not played more than 6 consecutive games in a row for us since we bought him! Ridiculous!

What do we think?
With Joel Matip and Fabinho already out with injuries, this latest knock to Lovren has understandably caused some panic to Liverpool fans. As of right now, Jurgen Klopp’s only two fit senior centre-halves are Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, which could come back to bite them.
So with the club chasing every trophy in every competition they are playing in, they will need all the players fit and ready to play at all times, as things will get tough.
