Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to the latest news surrounding January target Takumi Minamino.
This comes after football journalist Melissa Reddy shared a post on her official Twitter page revealing that Manchester United were also scouting the playmaker as well as Liverpool.

This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to take this opportunity to mock their rival club.

It was reported earlier in the week that Minamino is likely to join Jurgen Klopp’s side in the upcoming January transfer window. Now with the latest update that Liverpool were not the only Premier League club to be monitoring the Japanese player. It appears that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side also had their eyes on bringing Minamino to the Premier League. But with the Merseyside club apparently scouting the player since November, it seems Anfield will be his likely destination in January, much to the delight of many Reds fans.

What do we think?
Liverpool fans are never going to pass up on an opportunity to get one over on their once great rivals. Now that they look to have beaten United to the signature of Minamino, their season seems to have been given a huge boost.
