Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest injury update to Georginio Wijnaldum.
This comes after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post on their page announcing that Wijnaldum will play no part in Wednesday’s FIFA Club World Cup semi-final.

The reigning European champions will play in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar on Wednesday. Despite the injury to Wijnaldum, some Liverpool fans were quick to point out Jurgen Klopp’s other midfield options that could take the Dutchman’s place for the match against Monterrey.

What do we think?
Wijnaldum has made 24 appearances for the Merseyside club in all competitions so far this season (per TransferMarkt). Wijnaldum will be a big miss for Liverpool, but as some fans pointed out on Twitter, they have Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to step in.
Klopp will need to do some tinkering with his team selection that gives his side the best chance of winning while resting some important players. But the Liverpool fans will be hoping Wijnaldum can get back to full match fitness as soon as possible as they attempt to win their first-ever Premier League title.
