Liverpool fans have been discussing on Twitter the role of Naby Keita in the current team.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their official page asking their followers where the midfielder stands in Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order at the moment.
The tweet also included an article from the Liverpool Echo about Keita’s season so far.
This post then led to some Liverpool fans replying with their thoughts on the midfielder.
Has Naby Keita been a success at Liverpool?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans sharing their opinions on Keita:
Injuries almost ruined his time at the club. Will he be part of the team in the future season, chances are very slim.

Unfortunately It’s just not the right moment for Keita. His ability is very useful for offensive role, but our midfielders need to cover both side of full backs. Hopefully Keita can improves his defensive ability and physicality.

Keita joined the Merseyside club in 2018 from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for a fee of £54 million. Since his time at the club, Keita has made 41 appearances under Klopp, scoring three goals and making one assist (Transfermarkt).
Despite not being a regular starter for the club, some Liverpool fans have been disappointed with the Senegalese international.
I mean Lallana is playing so that pretty much says it all really.

What do we think?
To be fair to Keita, he has struggled with some injury issues since his arrival at Anfield. From his debut, Keita has missed 18 matches with four different injuries (per TransferMarkt). But on the other hand, Keita has had his opportunities to leave an impact on the team, but for one reason or another, he has failed to do that. This then makes it understandable why some Liverpool fans see Keita as being at the bottom of the midfield pecking order.
