Some Celtic fans have gone absolutely ballistic after the club released a song about club legend Scott Brown after the recent win over Hamilton.

Wednesday saw the club increase their lead at the top of the Premiership to two points, as Rangers failed to beat Aberdeen away from home. But the Hoops picked up a big win against Hamilton and it was Scott Brown who won it for them (BBC).

Ryan Christie had scored in the first half, but Hamilton drew level in the 90th minute. In stoppage time, it was Brown who scored and helped Neil Lennon’s men pick up three points in what could be a big moment in the season.

The club posted a new song about the club legend and the fans were ecstatic about it.

Celtic fans: Has Scott Brown won the Hoops the league?

He sure has!

He sure has!

Long way to go!

Long way to go!

The goal against Hamilton was Brown’s fourth of the season in all competitions. He also has one assist to his name this season, having played 30 times in all competitions so far.

In Lennon’s 4-2-3-1 system, Brown has been a regular in the double pivot alongside fellow Scotsman Callum McGregor. His previous league goal came in the club’s 4-0 win over Livingston two weeks ago.

As far as last season goes, Brown had played 50 times in all competitions for the Hoops. He found the back of the net thrice and had one assist to his name. Since joining the club in the summer of 2007, the skipper has won the Premiership title nine times and has also won the Scottish Cup five times.

Since joining from Hibernian in the summer of 2007 for a then-record fee of £4.4million, Brown has played 546 times in total for the club and has scored 44 times, assisting 60 times.

What do we think?

The goal against Hamilton was huge. The fact that Rangers missed the chance to win makes it even better. It is tough to see the Hoops drop too many points and with an Old Firm derby coming up in the League Cup final, it is extra special. Because of Brown’s goal, Celtic will go into that game feeling two feet tall.
