Some Celtic fans are making it clear that striker Leigh Griffiths’ time at Parkhead is now over and that he needs to leave the club in the upcoming January transfer window.

Griffiths was in action for the club in their recent loss to their arch-rivals in the Premiership. He came on from the bench and was handed a late free-kick that he shot well over the bar.

The defeat leaves the Hoops only two points ahead of Rangers in the table. The Gers have a game in hand a win in their next game could see them go to the top of the Premiership. A late Nikola Katic goal was enough for them to win the game.

Celtic fans: Is this the end of the road at Celtic for Griffiths?

He's not played enough!

He's not played enough!

He's finished indeed

But some Celtic fans aren’t happy with Griffiths’ performance. They think times up for him.

The 29-year-old Griffiths has made only one start in the Premiership this season and that came way back in the campaign. It came against Motherwell and Griffiths found the back of the net in that game.

In all competitions, the striker has played 18 times so far. He has found the back of the net three times and also has an assist to his name. But ever since he came back from his hamstring injury, he is yet to score a single goal. Since then, he has made one start in all competitions and that came in the UEFA Europa League.

Since returning from injury last season, Griffiths has played 98 minutes of first-team football in the Premiership.

The Scotsman had joined Celtic from current Premier League Wolves in the January of 2014 for a fee of £1million.

What do we think?

Griffiths isn’t getting enough game time to prove how good or bad a player he has become in recent months. He needs to start a few games and only then it would be a good thing to judge him.
