Some Celtic fans can’t help but laugh at a video involving Jeremie Frimpong that has gone viral following the club’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen in the Premiership at the weekend, leaving the Hoops back to five points clear at the top of the table.

The game saw Christopher Jullien score another goal, with Odsonne Edouard also scoring another goal. Sam Cosgrove did score for Aberdeen but was sent off later in the game.

Celtic fans: Is Frimpong one of the best young defenders?

He sure is!

Frimpong was featuring in the game and a video involving him and Jullien has gone viral on social media. Some Celtic fans can only laugh.

Frimpong is currently 19 and his performances for the Hoops this season have earned him some high-praise and a favourite amongst the faithful at Celtic Park. He joined the club from Manchester City this past summer on a free transfer, so did Lee O’Connor from Manchester City.

This season, the young Dutchman has scored 15 times in all competitions for the Bhoys. He has racked up a tally of two goals and a total of three assists as well. He has started all three of the club’s previous games. Before arriving in the summer, he had scored thrice in the Premier League 2.

Last season, he didn’t make a single first-team appearance for City. But he was a regular for their Under-23s side. He played 31 times in all competitions, scoring thrice and assisting thrice for the club.

What do we think?

Frimpong presents the bright future of the club. Along with the likes of Scott Robertson, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele, he is a prospect that would become a very important part of the side in the next two or three years.
