Aston Villa fans have been expressing their wishes for Mario Balotelli not to join Villa Park in the upcoming January transfer window.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaCulture shared a post relaying information originally shared by Sky Sports that Brescia president Massimo Cellino claimed the striker can leave the club on a free transfer in January.
This post then led to many Villa fans replying with their own views on a potential move for the Italian international.
Should Aston Villa sign Mario Balotelli in January?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans not wanting Balotelli to join the Birmingham club in January:
This definitely wouldn’t be a smart option.

Perfect squad morale so bring in someone with the worst attitude in football, no thank you.

Absolutely no chance

The Brescia president said that Balotelli’s game is not suited for a team scrapping to avoid relegation in Serie A and can leave in the next month’s transfer window. The 29-year-old, who is currently valued at £18 million, according to Transfermarkt, has scored just two goals in eight appearances for the Italian side (per Transfermarkt).
But it’s Balotelli’s antics off the pitch that has some Villa fans concerned over a potential move for the striker.
Not a chance….the bloke would ruin 12 months of team building and togetherness

What do we think?
As a former Premier League champion with Manchester City, Balotelli has what it takes to compete in the top tier of English football. But the Villa fans’ reluctance for the Italian to sign due to his poor attitude is understandable.
If Dean Smith does decide to take a chance on Balotelli, it could be the perfect opportunity for the centre-forward to make a new name for himself in English football.
