Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have reacted to the news that Arsenal have cooled their interest in appointing Nuno Espirito Santo as manager.
Last week, the Old Gold’s Portuguese gaffer was rumoured to be of interest to the North London club should they relieve Unai Emery of his duties (as per Birmingham Mail).
However, a report emerged on Monday that Arsenal had cooled their interest in the 45-year-old (as per Express and Star), which did not have some Wolves fans surprised.

Following the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United on Sunday, the Old Gold sit sixth in the Premier League table, level on points with fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur (per BBC).
While some Wolves fans had the belief that Nuno was never leaving in the first place, others were just happy to hear their thoughts confirmed and demanded he is now fully backed by the Molineux hierarchy.
I’m really happy to read this after the last week of speculation. I hope that this solidifies Nuno’s position for many years to come

Time to give him a new long contract and give him a Jan transfer pot worthy of a top 6 manager….

What do we think?
Nuno Espirito Santo has always appeared to be a manager that is completely loving his time with the Old Gold, as their progression has been immense under the Portuguese manager.
As such, it would have been incredibly difficult to drag Nuno to the Emirates Stadium in the first place.
