Lucas Moura received the plaudits from fans after his excellent performance in Spurs’ crucial 2-1 win over Wolves on Sunday.
The Brazilian opened the scoring for Spurs with a superb goal and looked a threat throughout the game, despite the home side’s overall dominance. The 27-year-old has certainly improved his performances of late, perhaps due to the management of new manager Jose Mourinho, averaging a 7.33 rating when played in his favoured right-wing position so far this season.
Should Lucas Moura start against Chelsea next week?
Yes
No
Since joining the club in January 2018, Moura has made 80 appearances for Spurs; scoring on 21 occasions. The £36 million rated man was often criminally underused by former manager Mauricio Pochettino, but already looks to have established himself as a key man in Mourinho’s Spurs squad; having started six of his seven games in charge thus far.
Reaction from Spurs fans to Moura’s performance after his post on Twitter can be seen in the tweets below.
And what an absolute beauty of a goal from you Lucas, I could keep watching it over and over again and I’ve watched it 100 times already

These Spurs fans clearly loved Moura’s performance at Molineux and will be hoping for a similar performance in the huge game against Chelsea on Sunday.
What do we think?
Moura has been in excellent form under Jose Mourinho so far and could be a key man to help take the burden off striker Harry Kane by contributing some important goals like his one against Wolves. The £36 million rated man has already shown that he can be a key man for the Portuguese manager and is perhaps beginning to show why Spurs bough him in the first place.
