Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to slate Danny Rose’s recent performances after another poor display against Bayern in their 3-1 loss on Wednesday night.
Rose struggled throughout the game at the Allianz Arena and could not cope with the pace and skill of Serge Gnabry, meaning he earned a disappointing 6.36 rating. The left-back has been benched in recent games, with Jan Vertonghen preferred in his position, but he was afforded a rare start by Jose Mourinho in the ‘dead-rubber’ game in Germany.
The 29-year-old had already frustrated fans when he revealed in November that he plans to run down his contract with the club before leaving on a free transfer, but Mourinho has been forced to include him after fellow left-back Ben Davies suffered a long-term injury in the Portuguese manager’s first game away at West Ham.
Is Danny Rose good enough to start for Spurs?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the stat from LastWordonSpurs that Rose has made the most amount of errors leading to goals this season can be seen in the tweets below.
Because he’s reach the point where he can’t compete at this level anymore. Need to find new full backs in January or improve the ones we have

He’s been the club 10 years and has had only 2 good seasons.. simply not good enough.

It’s sad to say this, he is finished.

Rose has been a great player for Spurs, loved his grit and passion and that goal on his debut against the arse. But he has declined more than anyone else in the last year. Tonight he was godawful …sadly I hope this was the last time I see him in a Spurs shirt.

He is shocking. Has been for a while

Lead him to the exit door please

These Spurs fans are clearly of the opinion that Rose is no longer good enough for Spurs and want to see him sold in January if possible.
What do we think?
Rose has been far from good enough so far this season; averaging a 6.57 rating in all competitions but it seems as if Mourinho will be unable to sell the 29-year-old any time soon. He may well look to sign a new left-back in the January transfer window with natural centre-back Vertonghen currently first-choice there.
