Spurs fans were delighted to hear that the club have been linked with a move for Philippe Coutinho, with Barcelona reportedly keen to sell the 27-year-old.
According to Mundo Deportivo (via TranSPURS), the Spanish giants are looking to sell Coutinho in order to fund a move for Neymar, with Spurs one of several teams monitoring his situation. The North London club were reportedly also interested in signing the Brazilian over the summer, before his loan move to Bayern Munich, who may well be the favourites to sign the midfield magician on a permanent deal.
Coutinho is well-known by Spurs fans for his time in the Premier League with Liverpool; with whom he scored 54 goals in 201 appearances after joining from Internazionale. The 27-year-old was instrumental in both games in which Spurs have suffered defeat against Bayern so far this season and has been in superb form since joining the Bundesliga champions; averaging an impressive 7.43 rating.

These Spurs fans would clearly love to sign Coutinho but perhaps recognise that it would be tricky to convince him to make the move to North London.
What do we think?
Spurs now have the Mourinho factor which could convince Coutinho to make the move back to the Premier League. However, his strong start to the season with Bayern suggests that he could well head there on a permanent deal if Barcelona do opt to sell the £63 million rated man.
