Spurs fans were delighted to hear this week that German club Borussia Dortmund are reportedly taking an interest in Mauricio Pochettino.
According to Telegraph Sport (via Daily Hotspur), Dortmund are monitoring Pochettino ahead of his decision over when he will return to football management. The 47-year-old was sacked by Spurs in November and has been spending time in his native Argentina as a break before taking his next job.
Current Dortmund boss Lucien Favre is said to be close to the sack at the German club following a relatively poor start to the season, although he may have been saved for a while longer after they secured progression through to the knockout stages of the Champions League earlier this week. Pochettino spent five years at Spurs and led the North London club to regular top-four finishes, as well as the unforgettable Champions League run last season.

These Spurs fans are clearly hoping that Dortmund act on their reported interest in Pochettino and bring him in as their new manager.
What do we think?
This looks to be the ideal job for Pochettino, especially after it was reported that he would have to repay £12.5 million if he joined another Premier League club. Dortmund is a team full of talented youngsters who can easily challenge for silverware, so it would not be a surprise to see him move to Signal Iduna Park should he be approached for the job.
