As is ever the case, part of being a football fan is being able to enjoy the memories of your team’s triumphs. Over the last few weeks, Crystal Palace’s Twitter has been recalling the best moments of the last decade as we move on from the 2010s to the 2020s.
One of these memories was a rare hattrick from Danny Butterfield. In a match against Wolverhampton, the right-back was tasked with playing up top for Neil Warnock’s side. Not only did he score three goals, but it was also a perfect hattrick. The memory brought a smile to these Crystal Palace fans who remembered how ridiculous the whole scenario was. They thought the manager was crazy for making the decision. They also loved the player’s hair.

What do we think?
It will likely be a long time before Palace fans see something quite like that happen again, if ever. But this memory will live on for a long time as being one of the greatest moments of the last decade. Hopefully, for the fans, there are plenty more memories to come.
