Spurs fans were delighted to hear that Jose Mourinho is optimistic about bringing Lille sporting director Luis Campos to the club next summer.
According to the Guardian (via Daily Hotspur), the 56-year-old manager remains optimistic in his aims of bringing his Portuguese compatriot Campos to the club over the summer. There were strong links that Spurs would make a move for the Lille director when Mourinho was appointed last month, but the French club were clear that they wanted Campos to stay.
The director is world-renowned for his ability to spot talent and helped develop world-class footballers such as Kylian Mbappe, Fabinho and Bernardo Silva during his time at Monaco. It is no surprise therefore that Mourinho wants to add Campos to his new staff at Spurs, with the hope that he can continue his fantastic work at the North London club. Spurs have already added Lille coach Joao Sacramento to the coaching staff and perhaps the 30-year-old assistant manager could be a factor in Mourinho wanting to bring Campos to his new club.
Will Mourinho convince Campos to move to Spurs?
