Spurs fans were relieved to hear that the club intends to recall Jack Clarke from his loan spell with Leeds United, as the youngster continues to struggle for game time.
According to the Daily Mail (via Hotspur Related), Spurs will bring the young winger back to North London in January, with Jose Mourinho likely to assess him before potentially sending him back out on loan. Spurs signed Clarke over the summer for around £10 million after he impressed for Marcelo Bielsa’s side last season, but he has made just one substitute appearance in the Championship so far this season.
Despite featuring 24 times last season, the 19-year-old winger has clearly struggled to force his way into Bielsa’s side as they look to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004. It is no surprise therefore that Spurs are keen to cut short Clarke’s loan spell with the Championship promotion hopefuls as they look to ensure that his development is not stilted too much.
Should Clarke be sent out on loan again in January?

It will be interesting to see if they loan him out again. Probably could be a great player under Mourinho

These Spurs fans clearly feel that Clarke is being wasted at Leeds and want to see him back at the club in January.
What do we think?
It is strange that Clarke has barely featured at Leeds this season after being a prominent part of Bielsa’s squad last campaign and you would expect Mourinho to take a proper look at the 19-year-old, who was of course signed by Pochettino, if he returns. There will be no shortage of Championship sides interested in taking Clarke on loan, so hopefully he will get some first-team football in the second half of the season.
