Spurs fans had plenty to say after hearing that Christian Eriksen wants to leave the club in January, with Inter reportedly in pole position to sign the midfielder.
According to the Athletic (via Daily Hotspur), Eriksen has told the North London club that he wants to depart in the January transfer window, with Italian giants Inter keen on the Danish international. It could spell the end of a long transfer saga for the 27-year-old, who revealed hinted he wanted to leave the club following the Champions League final loss last season.
Eriksen joined Spurs in 2013 and has gone on to establish himself as a world-class attacking midfielder during his six years at the club; scoring 69 and assisting 89 goals in 299 appearances for the Lilywhites. Although his arguably poor performances may have been one of several reasons behind the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino, there can be no doubting that he has been a quality player for Spurs and may well prove very difficult to replace.
Will Eriksen sign for Inter?

Ideal solution all round

Would be a great move for him the slower pace in Italy and a great young dynamic midfield to protect him also, has been excellent for spurs coming from the Dutch league

What a great move for him. Runners up in Italy with a coach who will leave in 12-18 months. What a strange career choice by eriksen.

If inter sign him with Lauturo and Lukaku up front they will be lethal

These Spurs fans clearly recognise that Eriksen, who is valued at £81 million (as per Transfermarkt), will be tough to replace but seem relieved that the club look set to receive a fee for the midfielder rather than losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
What do we think?
Inter seems like a bit of a sideways step for Eriksen but he has established that he does want a change of scenery and perhaps he could be successful under Antonio Conte in an arguably less competitive league. Depending on the fee Spurs may receive for him, they will surely want to reinvest in a young attacking midfielder, or perhaps bring in Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal.
