Spurs made it three wins from three games under Jose Mourinho in Saturday’s win over Bournemouth and one man who seemed to impress fans was Moussa Sissoko.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who joined from Newcastle in 2016, scored a delightful volley to extend Spurs’ lead in the second half; the goal which proved to be the winner for Mourinho’s side. It was only the Frenchman’s third goal in 144 appearances for the North London club and his first since a 4-0 win over Huddersfield in 2017.

Sissoko had been a regular under Mauricio Pochettino but there was some concern that he would be rarely used by Mourinho following his comments on the midfielder after the win against West Ham; in which he suggested that he “didn’t fit his needs”.

However, Sissoko returned to the starting eleven against the Cherries and produced a super display; earning an 8.35 rating.

Sissoko showed his versatility and importance to the team with an impressive performance from the right-wing against Bournemouth. He took his goal superbly considering it was his first in over two years and will surely be a contender to start at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
