Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have made it clear that they want to see young Juan Foyth play in the defensive midfield position under Jose Mourinho this season.
Spurs lost their previous Premier League game against Chelsea at home, as a Willian brace proved enough to dent their hopes of finishing inside the top four. Eric Dier started in defensive midfield in that game, with Moussa Sissoko also starting.
Tottenham fans: Do you want to see Foyth in defensive midfield?
Not even a question!
I'd sign someone new
Some Spurs fans though, are sure that the Argentine will do a very good job in defensive midfield and want to see it happen as soon as possible.
Agreed imagine him and ndombele at cdm

Spurs had signed Foyth from Argentine club Estudiantes in the summer of 2017 for a reported £8m. Now 21, the defender has grown up in the pecking order since he joined under compatriot Mauricio Pochettino.
This season, Foyth has made six appearances in all competitions for the Lilywhites. Three of these appearances have come in the Premier League and all the other three have come in the UEFA Champions League. He has made only two starts and they too came in the Champions League- against Bayern and Red Star Belgrade.
Last season, he had played 17 times in all competitions for Spurs. 12 of them came in the Premier League and he had scored the club’s winner in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. But he was sent off in a loss to Bournemouth towards the end of the season.
What do we think?
Dier has been a regular for the club under Jose Mourinho. He has started every game under Jose, bar one. But the 25-year-old was poor against Chelsea, failing to win a single tackle and couldn’t make a single interception. While he would still play there, but Foyth’s time has probably come. He needs to be given a run-out.
