Some Southampton fans are in disbelief about the club’s Under-23s side and are fuming at the club’s tweet about their recent performance in a game.

The Saints are now back in the drop zone, as they recently picked up a 1-0 loss against fellow strugglers West Ham United at the weekend. A Sebastien Haller goal was enough to condemn them to a second defeat in a row.

Their previous loss came against Newcastle United, who came back from a goal down to beat them 2-1. Jonjo Shelvey and Federico Fernandez had scored to give the Magpies a big win (WhoScored).

But the Saints’ Under-23s side recently lost 3-2 to the Derby County Under-23s. The club posted a video of the loss and this has left the Saints’ fans fuming.

The Saints’ Under-23s side is currently plying its trade in the Premier League 2 and find themselves at the bottom of the table. They have only ten points on the board, having won just two games this season.

The Derby County Under-23s side is currently at the top of the Premier League 2 with as many as 25 points on board, with seven wins and just two losses. The Saints’ Under-23s side have a goal difference of -18.

For the Saints’ side, Kayne Ramsay has played 12 times in the Premier League 2. Centre-back Aaron O’Driscoll has also played 12 times in the Premier League 2. Young Dan N’Lundulu has scored thrice in the league, while Kornelius Hansen has also scored thrice.

What do we think?

A defeat to the table-toppers isn’t the worst result for any team in the division. It is also worth noting that the Saints lost 3-2 and didn’t take a battering. That isn’t a negative and while the video might portray the loss in a bad light, it isn’t as bad as it shows.
