Many players played a big role in Sheffield United’s 1-0 win over Brighton on the weekend. But arguably the most important moment of the match was the lone goal scored by Ollie McBurnie. A direct ball from Dean Henderson was met by McBurnie, who had the composure to slot the ball into the net.
When the club posted a video of the goal on Twitter, fans couldn’t do anything but applaud the effort. They claim that the type of finish he pulled off wasn’t as easy as it looked.
Proper composure and will to win!! Great kick by Hendo and great finish by Oli the “Flaming Blade” McBurnie!!!

That’s what he’s done all his career: strong and decent finish

Do you think strikers go down too easy these days?
No
Yes
Others suggest that he could have gone down as well, and were impressed with his ability to stay on his feet. He didn’t need VAR in this instance.
Lots of strikers would have gone down too … immense!

No VAR needed for that one xx

What do we think?
It is nice to see a striker staying on their feet when they have the opportunity to. McBurnie’s goal showed his class and composure in the box. On any other day, with any other striker, they could have been flailing to the floor in protest.
