These Newcastle United fans are missing former Magpies, West Ham and Chelsea striker Demba Ba.
When Ba played in the Premier League he had an extremely impressive goal tally, scoring 43 and assisting 11 goals in the 99 matches he played in the Premier League, with 29 of his goals coming at Newcastle United. After these fans saw some throwback footage of the now 34-year-old, they were missing the striker he once was.
Here’s what the Newcastle United fans had to say about the Demba Ba footage:
Day of our #NUFC Advent Calendar:
What a player Demba Ba was. Just wished he’d stayed at the club longer @dembabafoot pic.twitter.com/PMHD18ZLLO

Should and would have, if Ashley puppet pardew had not basically pushed him out, outstanding player for us…

Absolutely loved Demba! Should have never left @dembabafoot https://t.co/Lmwf9NfPbl

Is Demba Ba the greatest Newcastle striker ever?
Yes
No
Clearly, the St. James’ Park faithful had fond memories of their former striker, however it appears as though he struggled to replicate the success he had in front of goal elsewhere. During his two seasons with Chelsea, Ba could only manage to score seven Premier League goals in 33 league games.

Cissie and Ba was a deadly combo https://t.co/iUt3PFfpSj

What Do We Think?
Obviously Demba Ba is no longer the player he once was, with the 34-year-old now playing his football in Turkey for Basaksehir and has only scored once in 10 league games so far this season. However, it would be interesting to see what the Newcastle United fans would make of Ba returning for one last blast in the Premier League; something that could be very entertaining for the fans at the very least.
