A lot of Newcastle United fans have expressed their love for Rafael Benitez after he made an appearance on Monday Night Football.
Benitez was brought onto the show to discuss West Ham vs Arsenal but was also inevitably asked about Newcastle.
Was Benitez a good guest on MNF?
Yes, his knowledge and insight was really interesting
No, quite boring
A lot of Toon supporters, therefore, have shown how much they miss the Spaniard.

Great to see Rafa talk a masterclass on tactics. He brought us back from relegation, consolidated us in the league and left us our best batch of CB’s in 20 yrs, a squad with a tough mentality and players conditioned in a tactic that wins points. What a manager and what a job done

What do we think?
Benitez was a superb guest on the show, and he spoke in-depth about Newcastle and how he was pleased that the team were doing well.
The former Liverpool boss praised the job that Steve Bruce was doing as well as the team.
He highlighted Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles, and Paul Dummett as players who he liked, but he was very complimentary about the whole Newcastle squad.
Benitez also praised the Newcastle fans and even left the door open for a possible return.
When asked about what his plans for Newcastle were, he responded by saying to push for the top ten, but that was not what the board wanted.
Judging by the interview, Benitez still has a lot of love for Tyneside and is pleased to see the Magpies doing well in the league.
It seems that even though he is no longer there, the Benitez love-in that many Newcastle fans have will never go away.
