A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a story in Football Insider that claims the Toon are trying to set up a deal for young Hamilton winger Lewis Smith.
The 19-year-old has made 21 appearances this season and contributed four goals and three assists in that time as Hamilton find themselves in 11th place.
Is this an exciting signing for Newcastle?

The story, however, has not gone down well with many Toon fans who want to be linked with a bigger name.

What do we think?
Smith, who is valued at £45,000 but Transfermarkt, has impressed for Hamilton this season, and at just 19, still has a long career ahead of him.
A move just south of the border could be good for both him and Newcastle, who want to bring in attacking reinforcements to a forward line that has scored three Premier League goals.
Smith is a raw player, but the potential is there for all to see, and if the report is correct, he may well be plying his trade on Tyneside in the near future.
