The 25-year-old defensive midfielder, who is currently valued at £5.4 million according to TransferMarkt, has only made nine appearances for the French club so far this season. His lack of playing time at Nice could open the door for a move away in January, with Villa reportedly interesting in securing the Frenchman’s signature.

Possible McGinn replacement

What do we think?
Considering that first choice midfielder John McGinn is currently out with an injury, maybe a loan move for a defensive midfielder like Tameze could be a clever move from Villa. But his sporadic appearances at Nice this season does put a question mark over the player, with proven quality required given the club’s current position.
