According to a report in the Evening Standard, Fernandinho will have to wait until the Summer to learn whether or not he has a future at Manchester City.
The veteran Brazilian is out of contract in June 2020 and has been told he is unlikely to play in the middle of the park again.
Should Fernandinho be offered a contract extension?
Yes
No
What have the Man City faithful made of the news Fernandinho could be set to leave at the end of this current campaign?
Don’t get why. So much better than Gundogan and Rodri is still adapting to the league. He SHOULD be playing in midfield in my opinion. With Garcia playing more games at centre back.

Yeah he’s leaving if that’s the case he’s one of the best CDM’s and he’s being placed at CB as well he’s basically getting replaced by Gundogan who’s not really even a CDM ??

What do we think?
Fernandinho, who is valued at £10.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), arrived at the Etihad back in 2013 from Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk for £36m and during his time in Manchester he has been a revelation. For years, he has marshalled the City midfield providing a platform on which the more technically gifted and attack-minded players could go on and express themselves.
During his time with the club, they have won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and four League cup’s etching his name into Manchester City folklore. Calling time on his career at the club seems harsh to many and there is a strong argument the player deserves a lot more respect than that which is being shown, but City haven’t risen to the top of the English game without being ruthless.
