Kane finished the match with a rather poor Whoscored rating of 6.2/10, leaving fans very disappointed with the 21-year-old’s performance. The young midfielder played the full 90 minutes, in a very tough 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Aston Villa.

What Do We Think?
It’s a shame that Herbie Kane’s poor performance came on such a big stage, as it’s much easier to hide an off day when you’re playing in the under-23’s development leagues. Hopefully all this backlash doesn’t destroy the 21-year-old’s confidence and he can get back to working hard to earn first-team minutes.
Although, it doesn’t appear as if he will get many opportunities if he repeats Tuesday’s performance.
