These Liverpool fans believe Roberto Firmino has been ‘poor’ lately, after a good performance against RB Salzburg.
Roberto Firmino has scored just four goals in 16 Premier League matches, however, the 28-year-old has managed to also assist four times. The criticism may come from the lack of UEFA Champions League contributions, where the Brazilian has failed to score, but has managed to assist three times.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans have been saying about Firmino, with some alluding to the idea of having Divock Origi replacing him in the near future:
Salah missing all these chances is really taking the heat off how poor Firmino has been

Firmino’s form is a little concerning now. I guess its accumulated fatigue after last season and not having a break in the summer (Copa America). He just feels off the pace. His touch is not as sharp as it can be. Needs time away from the starting 11 for a while. #LFC

Mr Klopp I think it’s clear firmino is finished. I suggest buying giroud as the foil

Are you happy with Firmino's performances so far this season?
Yes
No
Firmino’s strength is definitely in playmaking, with a total of seven assists across 22 Premier League and Champions League fixtures.
Firmino has been very poor and I’d be considering Origi here.

What Do We Think?
Firmino clearly has his role in the Liverpool side; it may not be glamorous, but we are certain that Jurgen Klopp would be gutted to lose him. Perhaps, the 28-year-old just needs to add more goals to his game and then maybe these fans would start to appreciate him more. Indeed, with a player that has the impact of Origi available on the bench, it may only be a matter of time before Klopp turns to the Belgian, rather than continuing to put his faith in the Brazilian star.
