These Liverpool fans really don’t want former manager Rafa Benitez to join Merseyside rivals, Everton.
Benitez didn’t exactly say he was joining tomorrow, but him hinting was enough for these fans to urge him to stay well away from Everton. The main reason for this could be the 59-year-old’s legacy at Liverpool, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2005 was one of his biggest achievements at the Merseyside club.
Rafa Benitez on managing Everton one day: “I have Liverpool connections, that’s very clear.
“But at the same time we are involved in the city, we have lots of friends in the city, Evertonians and Liverpudlians.
“I don’t have any problem with the fans or the people there.” pic.twitter.com/wInzSOY8h9

Will Rafa go to Everton?
Yes
No
Benitez is currently the manager of DL Yifang and was only appointed in China on 2nd July and currently appears very happy with the role he has as he ruled out an imminent return to the Premier League (Sky Sports) – something one fan actually alluded to.
hope he doesnt go there. But then, anyone but United.

I think if Rafa did ever go to Everton I’d lose respect for him, he may aswel have gone United. I know he professional and loves the City but some things you cant do after managing LFC and that’s one of them #LFC

What Do We Think?
We would be very surprised if Benitez actually went to Everton, considering he knows the history between Liverpool and the Toffees. This could be some wise tactics to get other clubs interested in his services, thus getting a better wage package if he does join another team. However, never say never within football and if the offer/time is right, perhaps, the Spaniard will decide to take over the reins at the Gwladys Street End in the future? Time will tell.
