Ayoze Perez, who is valued at £27 million (as per Transfermarkt), has come in for criticism after his below-par display at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The Spaniard started for the Foxes but was unable to impose himself on a game his side went on to lose despite taking the lead.
The Leicester faithful have had very little to complain about this season but having struggled to contain Manchester City and Kevin De Bruyne in particular, these supporters were keen to make their feelings regarding Perez’s display known.
Have you been satisfied with what you've seen from Ayoze Perez this season?
Yes
No
I wasn’t going to criticise any of the Leicester players in the dismantling by Man City, yesterday. Then I noticed, in reports, that Ayoze Perez was playing. #MCILEI

Could’ve easily been 6/7 were it not for Schmeichel. Vardy also excellent but had no service.
Thought both full-backs and wingers were very poor. Barnes made the goal, but missed a sitter and failed to track Walker.
Perez absolutely appalling today. #LCFC

Worse performance of the season. Chilwell and Perez were awful. However I’ve got a bit of perspective, we are 2nd heading into Christmas. Need a winger in January, no if’s and but’s. Disappointed fancied us to get a win before KO. #LCFC

What do we think?
Overall, Ayoze Perez has been a good addition to the Leicester City squad this season. Signed from Newcastle in the summer for £30m (according to Transfermarkt.co.uk) the Spaniard has contributed 4 goals and an assist in 15 Premier League appearances so far.
According to WhoScored.com, his performance at the weekend earned him a rating of 6.2/10 which was amongst the lowest in the team. In the aftermath of a defeat, it’s easy to get angry and criticise individuals but the reality is Leicester City, as a whole, for the most-part were second best.
It certainly wasn’t Perez’s finest hour but the Foxes will learn from only their third defeat of the season and we believe they will continue to keep the pace with the very best this division has to offer.
