Supporters of Everton have gushed over footage posted to Twitter of the Toffees’ match-winning goal against Newcastle United.
With one supporter feeling as though Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s second goal of the afternoon was not given as much praise as it deserved (via @JackEFC95), others waxed lyrical over the silky move.
Why isn’t anyone talking about the buildup to our second goal on Saturday? Apart from Richarlison briefly giving the ball away (before winning it back), this move definitely dictates how Ancelotti wants us to play isn’t it pic.twitter.com/ZCAMiSsFWe

So aesthetic – so beautiful

Best thing was how calm they all were on the ball then like hounds to win it back. Happy days coming. Lots to thank big dunc for he lifted the malaise

Was the goal against Newcaslte United a sign of the playing style to come under Carlo Ancelotti?Yes, it was a great exampleNo, just a fluke of a goal |
The goal from the young, English forward was enough to earn Carlo Ancelotti his second victory in his second game as the Merseyside club’s new manager (per BBC).
With fans already seeing a vast improvement on the Marco Silva era since his departure, they began to get excited over what the future held for Everton.
Totally agree. You can see his structure an how he’s already instilled his basics of shape/structure, ball retention and movement to create options on the ball. You see it time and time again when the top teams come to Goodison. Satisfying finally seeing us playing that way

The movement from DCL was top class left the 2 defenders for dead

What do we think?
Bar the couple of seconds where the ball was lost, before excellently being won back with an effective counter-press, the move is silky and a very positive sign of what is to come for the Toffees.
