Some Everton fans have made it clear that they are desperate to see the club sign their right-back Djibril Sidibe on a permanent basis as soon as possible.
The Toffees were playing out their first game under Carlo Ancelotti on Boxing Day, as the club picked up a solid 1-0 win over Burnley. It was young Dominic Calvert-Lewin who got the goal to lift the club up to 13th in the Premier League table. They have 21 points on board.
The goal came, thanks to an assist from Sidibe. The right-back was playing as the right midfielder in the club’s 3-4-1-2 shape.
Should Sidibe be signed permanently?
Not even a question!
Too early to say!
And some Everton fans are already making it clear that they want Ancelotti’s men to sign Sidibe on a permanent basis as soon as possible.

Sidibe joined the Toffees from Monaco this past summer on a loan deal. That was when Marco Silva was in charge.
So far this season, the right-back has played 13 times in all competitions for the Toffees. He has racked up a tally of five assists. While he has failed to score a goal yet, four of those five assists have come in the Premier League. His latest one came against Burnley last night.
For Monaco last season, he was a regular at right-back under Thierry Henry and Leonardo Jardim. He played 32 times in all competitions. He played 26 times in the Ligue 1, racking up a total of three assists.
During his time at the Monegasque club, Sidibe had played 114 games in all competitions. He racked up a total of six goals and registered a total of 21 assists.
What do we think?
The 4-4-2 allows Sidibe to play closer to the strikers and this takes the burden of him to defend and to track back. The Frenchman has been dribbled past 1.2 times per game while playing at right-back and that leaves the side exposed, especially when he plays at right-back. Playing further forward nullifies his weakness.
