Supporters of Everton were left furious with Jordan Pickford after footage emerged of the stopper at the darts following Saturday’s game with Arsenal.
The video shared to the social media site showed the England goalkeeper downing a pint, before standing on a chair and leading a chant surrounded by a number of other people (via Everton News Feed).
While a number of fans took the video jovially and saw no problem with the 25-year-old enjoying a night out prior to a day off, many slammed the ‘keeper.

What I would say is elite sportsmen who aspire to be the most successful in their field dedicate every minute in their lives towards that goal. Yes everybody has a private life, but having a hangover when your team has 4 crucial games within 10 days is not Ok.

Do you have a problem with Jordan Pickford going out and making a scene the night before a day off?Yes, he needs to be more professionalNo, he's young and enjoying his day off |
So far this term, the Everton stopper has played 22 games in all competitions, in which he has only managed to keep six clean sheet sand conceded 33 in the other 16 games (per Transfermarkt).
Despite a clean sheet against Arsenal on Saturday and a 7/10 performance rating (per Liverpool Echo), however, supporters were still frustrated by their ‘keeper.
After a new manager just arrived as well. Smaller IQ than his glove size.

Feel it’s a bad first impression to carlo to do that. Fine he should get a night out and yes the crowd probably only fuel the fire but if I was carlo and saw that with the team where we are and how we played I’d be concerned of the lack of professionalism.

To be fair I agree with going out and enjoying yourself but when you playing bad then doesn’t look good. Both pickford and Keane well below par at the min.

What do we think?
Pickford is 25, while it is not the most intelligent thing to go and make such a scene when it can be so easily posted to social media, as it has done, it should not be that big of a deal as he has the day off afterwards.
If the squad had training early the next day, then it is a different story, but all he has done really is have a drink and stand on a chair – not exactly the end of the world, is it?
