Everton fans have aired their desire to see Duncan Ferguson still involved in Carlo Ancelotti’s backroom staff if the Italian is appointed as gaffer.
All reports now point to the 60-year-old Italian being given the nod to take over the reins of the Merseyside club with his backroom staff already lined out to be enlisted (as per Nico Schira).
However, following Ferguson’s impressive two games as interim manager, supporters were desperate for the Scotsman to remain involved in the first-team set-up at Goodison Park.

This is what I was afraid of. DF could always get by as a coach but once he shot his shot (and he’s done phenomenally!) a new regime will bring its own staff. Where does that leave DF?

Should Duncan Ferguson get a full-time role in Carlo Ancelotti's backroom staff?Yes, he's definitely earned itNo, Ancelotti needs who he wants |
Supporters have grown in their infatuation for the former player over his two games in charge, with his refreshing tactics and mannerisms, along with four points in two games, winning the fans over (as per Liverpool Echo).
After three points over Chelsea and a respectable draw at Old Trafford (as per BBC), fans were desperate for the Scotsman to stay.

What do we think?
It seems as though Duncan Ferguson now has an almost cult hero status after his two games in charge at Goodison Park and Ancelotti may be best served recognising that and using Ferguson to his undeniable potential.
