Everton supporters have shown their delight over the latest news on Everton managerial target, Marcelo Gallardo.
According to the Mirror, Everton received a boost in their hunt to have Gallardo replace Marco Silva as top dog at Goodison Park, with the manager ‘refusing to commit’ to River Plate (via Daily Mail).
With the news breaking to Twitter (via El Pivote), fans were quick to air their delight over the movement in the possible rumour which will see him arrive in Merseyside.

The Argentine 43-year-old has been at the helm of River Plate since June 2014 and has managed 254 matches with the Argentinian side (per Transfermarkt).
With a points per game total of 1.8 with the South American club, Everton fans were delighted with the positive development for the Merseyside club due to the link between the two.

What do we think?
Who the Everton hierarchy will appoint to replace Silva, only really they will know, however, with their four-man target list – perhaps even they still do not know.
On the face of it, Gallardo would be a good appointment for the Toffees, but only time would tell if he was able to bang a tune out of the Merseyside club.
