Everton supporters have begged the club’s hierarchy to appoint Carlo Ancelotti as Marco Silva’s heir following his sacking by Italian outfit, Napoli.
Following a 4-0 victory over Genk on Tuesday night, the Italian manager was relieved of his duties despite progressing in the Champions League (as per BBC).
Due to the sacking and a faint link drawn between the 60-year-old and the Toffees (via Liverpool Echo), fans called that the Goodison Park club now give chase to the man who has just been sent packing.

Would Carlo Ancelotti be a successful manager with Everton?Yes, he's a fantastic managerNo, he's past it now |
Since his appointment with the Italian giants in July 2018, Ancelotti has been at the helm of Gli Azzurri for 72 games, over the duration of which he has a points per game total of 1.85 (as per Transfermarkt).
With 19 pieces of silverware under his belt, plus two World’s Best Club Coach awards (per Transfermarkt), Everton fans were clear that he would be the best possible man for the Toffees to give chase to.
If we don’t at least make move for a manager who’s won titles in every top country and multiple champions leagues we may as well give up and appoint Moyes after all.
One of the most successful managers in the game. Have to try.

What do we think?
While it would be an incredibly tall order for the Merseyside club to wrangle Ancelotti, with a manager of his quality now a free agent, it is more than worth the Toffees attempting to make a swoop.
