Crystal Palace would have been looking to bounce back against Newcastle after dropping points to Brighton and Watford (WhoScored.com). A fifth-place finish is still very much obtainable, with the Eagles only five points off the Europa League spot (Sky Sports).
But the Geordies beat Crystal Palace 1-0, sending Roy Hodgson and his team home empty-handed. After the match, fans were critical of Hodgson. Many want him to be replaced.
Sack Hodgson as a thank you x

Wouldn’t have hurt to have come over to fans after the match… like… walk past the halfway line

Do you think Hodgson's time at the club is coming to an end?
Yes
No
Others questioned his decision making. They wanted Max Meyer brought on much sooner, and don’t understand his trust in the current forwards. They are critical of their strikers’ inability to score goals.
Woy the Boy keeps leaving Meyer on bench till late minute costing us points, enough is enough

Why are we still relying on Benteke? Give a young player a chance he’s got nothing to lose considering Benteke won’t score. Also stop playing McCarthy he’s average

Pity our forwards weren’t

What do we think?
Fans have every reason to be upset with results. They do feel, though, that the results could be avoided if Hodgson had made different decisions. But the manager must live with the outcomes of those choices and fans must look forward to the next game. Hopefully, for them, Hodgson can turn the team’s fortunes around.
